Petronas Twin Towers was once the tallest twin towers in the world (with 88 story on each tower, height of nearly 457.2 meters 1500 feet). The designs of the towers are based on islamic architecture geometric patterns. On the 41-42 floors there’s a double decker skybridge where you can visit for free and ticket price at RM10 if the price haven’t been changed. Admission to the double decker skybridge is free but you have to line up to get the tickets as it is limited and issued daily on first come first served basis.

If you are planning to visit the skybridge which is worthwhile (the view on the skybridge is magnificent!)  however be sure to go early, otherwise you can’t get the ticket. You might need to wait in the line for more than 2 hours. The opening hours would be Tuesday to Sunday 9am to 5pm, Skybridge closed for Friday Prayer from 1pm-2:30pm; Closed Monday except on a Public Holiday.

How to go KLCC ?
Getting to Suria KLCC Petronas Twin Towers is easy. You can go by Rapid KL with the Kelana Jaya line to KLCC Lrt station (More about Kuala Lumpur public transportation). If you are driving, it is accessible via jalan ampang, jalan p.ramlee and jalan kia peng. Need not worry about the parking spaces as they have 5000 (unless on super peak season?). If you are just staying around, just get a taxi.

Suria KLCC shopping center is  huge, one can get all the things they need in one place be it food, clothing, shoes, bags, jewels, bank services to flower shops. You can also visit Aquaria KLCC, the largest underwater world in Kuala Lumpur. Especially families with kids. You can definitely spend a whole day shopping in Suria KLCC shopping center. Fashion retails that can fulfill  any ladies shopping desire. There’s a cinema (TGV) to watch the latest movies. One of the largest bookstore that I’ve visited – Kinokuniya, that has almost all range of books in the world! (you can order if they have no stock). With several sections – English, Chinese and Japanese.

In the evening, you can have a walk outside the park. The KLCC Park features a lake symphony which is 10,000 square meter man made lake with water fountains. The  fountain can shoot water up to a height of 42 meters. The fountain are a daily event, usually occur at noon and in the evening.

There’s also a path for jogging or walk. It is 1.3 km in length (don’t think anyone would want to walk during the noon under the hot weather!). A children playground with a public swimming pool at the west side of the park.

All-in all Suria KLCC petronas twin tower is a one of the must – visit places in Malaysia. It’s a Malaysia iconic building located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, one-stop destination for leisure, exclusice shopping, dining, arts and lifestlye.

Suria KLCC is a very big place and is fun to do shopping and window shopping! I would love to have a view of the city by visiting the skybridge but I am just not sure how “early” is early. Is it 7am?

    Thanks!

Yeah, 7 am should be ok to secure a ticket for yourself, especially during peak holiday season. The Ticket Counter opens at 8.30am on every operational days. The visiting hours is from 9.00am to 5.00pm :) by the way, just found out that the ticket are not free of charge anymore. The ticket will cost about RM10, observation Deck that is located at Level 86 will cost you about RM 40 if the pricing didn’t change :)
