Sepang Gold Coast has been declared as the longest coastal paradise in Asia. Located at the Pantai Bagan Lalang which is around 60 – 75 minutes (about 80+ km) from Kuala Lumpur, 45 minutes from PutraJaya and 25 minutes from KLIA.
How to go Sepang Gold Coast from Kuala Lumpur ?
- Drive towards KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport)
- Take note, before KLIA, there is a turning to Sepang F1 Circuit/LCCT (low cost carrier terminal)
- Go all the way straight, as you are reaching the Sepang F1 Circuit, look for the signage to turn to Sepang Gold Coast. ( You wouldn’t want to missed it, so drive slower and keep to the left lane.)
- Once you see Sepang F1 Circuit is on your right side, go straight untilyou see the cross junction traffic light, Turn right ( look for the signboard that says “Sungai Pelek”)
- The roads will now be more narrow, just follow the signature to “Bagan lalang, Sepang gold coast or Sg Pelek”.
- After quite awhile of driving, you’ll see a signture to “Seri Malaysia” , follow the signage and you’ve arrived.
- While return back to Kuala Lumpur, be-careful and don’t go take the Klang way.
On your way to Sepang Gold Coast, you will see alot of stalls along the road that sells “Dragon Fruit“. If you are new to Dragon Fruit, you should really grab some to try. They are selling cheaper and better quality (sweet!).
For most people who are visiting Sepang Gold Coast, they would make a several stops. Once you’ve checked in the hotel (if you are staying overnight), you can drive to Tanjung Sepat (about 15minutes drive), look for Ganoderma farm (mushroom farm). The Mushroom are all fresh and they are cheap ! if you plan a bbq in the beach, it’s a good idea to grab some of these mushrooms. Ranging from Grey oyster, Pink, Straw to Monkey head mushrooms, all are freshly picked and packed for you to bring home. Price range from RM10 for 3 packets for Grey Oster mushrooms (Cheap !).

Tanjung sepat is also famous for it’s homemade “PAU”. Alot of tourist from singapore purchase a whole lot of pau from the local shop as told.

The Lover’s Bridge is another attraction in Tanjung Sepat. There’s alot of seafood restaurant around that area. Personally, tried the seafood restaurant that is next to the bridge, always packed with people, it’s cheap but don’t think it is the best among the restaurants or other word (not recommended) try others instead.

In the evening, you should enjoy the beach at Sepang Gold Coast. You’ll see alot of people flying kites, some are fishing, most enjoying the water. If you are in luck you can see some local fisherman hunting for “Shell fish” (usually in the morning). The beach is very clean with clear water, unlike the neighboring beach : port dickson, morid. The beach is full of lively species, almost wherever you step your foot on, you’ll see crabs and various of species. If it’s low tide, you’ll be able to walk at least 1km out to the sea but be careful as high-tide may come in very fast!

During the night, you have quite alot of choices. No matter that you want to have local seafood feast, western food in romantic environment or Chinese style steamboat. It’s all within walking/driving distance. You might want to chill out on the beach at night with some glasses of cocktail or wine. I would not recommend anyone to have their drinks outside the bar, if you do not wish to be bitten by the blood sucking mosquitoes.
Escaping Kuala Lumpur to Sepang Gold Coast is a good experience and a great way to recharge yourself!
